Art & Couture
A fragment of an article I recently read in a-n magazine, compared Art in Galleries to Couture - and more commercial work to High Street Fashion, more accessible to the layman.
Then again, there are galleries and Galleries.
Still, an interesting analogy, I thought. I’d prefer a Couture show, followed by a Diffusion line.

Scorpio Rising
Working with deep, rich oil colours yesterday, I can still smell the paint. A real Scorpionic range of hues, quite nocturnal. I crave something sultry that you could fall into, with dark accents. I’ve resumed work on cityscapes, & indigo as a colour theme, with some charcoal violet, & smokey colours, & deep cool greens for my gaze to sink into.
